Founded in 1985, Dance Improv, Live! is a lightly structured workshop for self-expression through movement and live music. It is a bare-feet, comfy-clothes, free-movement event with superb live music ~ refreshments, too! Dance Improv has become not only a Princeton institution but an unmatched cutting-edge dance and free-movement event known nationwide. Dance Improv has shaped and inspired the lives of the nearly two thousand people who have come through its doors during these wonderful twenty years.

Dance Improv is a place to move and to dance. It's a place to have fun, build community, and form new and lasting friendships. Above all, it's a safe place to explore emotion through motion ~ a rare and refreshing reconnection with ourselves, touching the depths of who we are and bringing that contact into our connection with others.
